Each story held it's own and was a piece of WW2 that one was probably not aware of. Great authors, inspiring heroes and heroines.

I picked this book up thinking that the stories in it would be light and full of hope. I was sadly disappointed. I found many of the stories dark and, at times, struggled to get through them. I kept reading thinking that they would get better but they didn't.

While I would call these thought provoking and, at times, informative, the description and the book its self are very different.
