Following their foiling of a conspiracy to blow up the Golden Gate Bridge in The Angel Island Conspiracy, Carol and Trav escape San Francisco for St. Augustine, Florida. In St. Augustine, Trav resumes his yacht design career and gets a golden opportunity to design a go-fast mega yacht for a mystery client. The Yacht Trav designs for his mystery client is called Street Racer. This client turns out to be none other than the very leader of the former Golden Gate Bridge Conspiracy, Al Kemp. The client? has an evil purpose for Trav's design, too! Al ditches Trav after milking him of the complete build-plans and builds the boat in secrecy in a hidden bayou on the Alabama Gulf Coast until this Street Racer, born again as Street Fighter is ready for a planned attack on the Ingalls Shipbuilding yard in Pascagoula, Mississippi. A spiritualist interprets Trav's dream of his father wearing Al Kemp's face: You are destined to be a tool of evil no matter how you try to be a force for good. One year later, after a frantic search for Trav's lost design, Carol and Trav find this vessel hidden in a bayou in coastal Alabama. They stow away on it and during the very attack mission against the shipyard, they try to foil Al's new conspiracy. Can Carol and Trav stop terrorists from using Trav's very own creation, Street Racer, for evil? What will happen when Street Fighter is driven on a deadly course towards the country's largest defense shipyard and the six destroyers in various stages of construction there. Thank you, My Designer, for giving me such a marvelous toy with which to start World War III.
