Author has some good points and suggestions, others such as making a collage out of pictures from women's magazines to visualize who you want to be. Yes, I've always wanted to sell Proctor and Gamble products. Take it with a grain of salt and read other books on the subject. This woman's self righteous tone actually triggered me. I need to work on that.

Great information! The sensitive topic made it hard to read at once, plus the healing process the author outlines requires inner work. It's not a book that one would read all at once. Borrow it from time to time or buy it for a long-term inner processing.

I was never really sure what the problem was, until I read this book. It connected all the dots for me.

really helpful even if you're not quite sure what the problem is/was between mother/daughter.

Wonderful book. It gave me a sense of relief, time and time again, for finally understanding so many things. With understanding comes better coping and acceptance and decision-making.

For anyone with a self-centered parent this book is dead-on. Sadly enough this is a situation found often enough that a book could be written about it.
