EXCELLENT BOOK! Attorney Steven Druker is brilliant and tenacious.
.
If you are Pro-GMO, or believe that Genetically modified foods have been thoroughly tested and are safe....PLEASE READ THIS BOOK! As Howard Lyman (aka The Mad Cowboy) often says:

"It's not what you don't know that hurts us, its' what you think you know that aint so."

Druker has done a masterful job explaining just how much fraud, and conflict of interest, have gone into duping so many well-educated people, and he presents good evidence of harms and evidence of attempts to silence and discredit CREDIBLE whistle blowers within industry who have risked everything to speak up. It's all well referenced and SHOCKING!

Funny how as a microbiology undergrad thirty plus years ago, taking a class called, "Genetic Engineering" my professor's only mention about possible concerns with the technology was a discussion of a single activist who opposed release of GMO organisms into the environment. We never actually covered the substance of these concerns -- only heard Ad Hominem attacks on the on the guy who was urging caution.
I challenge anyone (whose paycheck isn't linked to this technology) to maintain a Pro-GMO stance after reading this book.

An essential book that covers the material on genetic engineering which doesn't get into the mass media - and also explains why we haven't heard about it. Druker is painstaking in substantiating every claim and providing exhaustive background and confirmation - which makes the book slow and a little dry, but a goldmine of valuable, and sometimes shocking, information.

If you have been uneasy about consuming Genetically Engineered (GE) foods, but didn’t really know why, reading Stephen Druker’s carefully researched book will clarify the dangers of these foods as no other source has. Even if you think that GE foods are safe because you have heard that they are “substantially equivalent” to conventionally produced food, this book will surely change your mind. One scientist who worked for Agriculture Canada for 35 years promoting GE foods has changed his views: Dr. Thierry Vrain is now a strong advocate against GE production. Druker’s book is thorough, beginning with the advent of GE methods, and discusses developments world-wide over the last 40 years. GE foods threaten not only human health, but the planet and all its life forms.
