Erin Gleeson made her dream a reality when she left New York City and moved into a tiny cabin in a California forest in order to be closer to nature. The book is beautifully illustrated. The enticing recipes are all very simple. However, the ingredients are not listed together and are muddled up by the pictures. One would need to search for the ingredients carefully to ensure nothing is missing; this can become rather annoying.

The book itself is beautiful, even the page layouts impressed me. The recipes are incredibly simple (important for a novice cook like myself), yet intriguing. I haven't tried any of them yet but I really feel like I can conquer some of these recipes.

I'm not much of a cook these days, but the beautiful watercolors and photography in this book caught my eye. While paging through, I discovered that the recipes she shares are simple, easy to follow, and look delicious. Even I could prepare them!

I love this book so much that, after checking it out from the library for a month, I went out and bought it. Not only is it extraordinarily beautifully, it is easy to follow because there are photos of everything you need and super simple instructions. Lots of photos, very few words. In other words, perfect for me. My daughter and I have made 10+ recipes already and loved every single one.

If you are looking for a book with gorgeous photos of food (and nothing more) this book is for you. There are wonderful photos for each and every recipe. However, if you are looking for recipes in a good vegetarian cookbook, you'll do yourself a favor by skipping this book. Not only is there little innovation in the way of recipes, the recipes are written in such a disjointed manner that it is extremely easy to miss ingredients in each and every recipe. And, if you are anything like me, there isn't much worse than getting part way through assembling a recipe only to realize you don't have one of the ingredients available, and then another, etc. There is no clear ingredient list for any of the recipes...you need to read though every single step of the recipes to determine the ingredients, which even more annoying and difficult with the odd, changing fonts.
