I have to admit the title and cover photo of this dvd is what intrigued me to check this one out. Beware of appearances! A Matter of Faith is a pretty simple-minded story of a Christian college student who "discovers" that the only human creation story taught at her university involves evolution. No, this is not a movie from the 50's. It does portray creationism from a Christian point of view, and fervently. If this subject interests you, try the classic "Inherit the Wind" with Spencer Tracy and Frederic March. That film is 5 stars!!!

From the publisher’s description: “... who teaches that evolution is the answer to the origins of life.” Wrong – abiogenesis (approximately 3.8 to 4.1 billion years ago) and evolutionary biology (ongoing) are two distinct subjects, routinely, through ignorance or mischief, conflated by religious apologists.

suffers from the low budget Christian movie stereotype, acting was bad for the most part, good in some spots. Should portray real life a bit more in the story. There were some good points brought up the the debate, but that's about it. I think this movie would appeal to a younger audience ( 10-15) where they're really starting to think about questions of origins. I wish this was a better movie.
