Born in Devon, England (1890) - (author) Agatha Christie holds the Guinness Book of World Records for being the best-selling novelist of all time with sales of her novels now reaching (are you ready for this?) over 2 billion, worldwide.

Often referred to as "The Queen of Crime" - Christie's literary works have been translated into 103 different languages. It's hard to believe that her first attempts to get published were, in fact, met with flat rejection.

If you have enjoyed reading Christie's fiction - Then - This well-researched biography "The Finished Portrait" should prove to be of some significant interest to you.

*Note* - In 1976 - Agatha Christie (85 at the time) died of natural causes.
