The story is somewhat predictable, but still fun, and the narrator, Juliet Stevenson, is superb.

A worthy follow-up to the ever-so-popular Downton Abbey for Dear Uncle Julian. Much romancing, intriguing and self-consciousness over social rank throughout, with strong female characters and the occasional despicable cad.
The denouement struck me as particularly predictable in a classic, Shakespearean Comedy sense, but the journey there featured some fine prose and unexpectedly poignant internal moments.
Lastly, the narrator does a fantastic job. Pip pip, cheerio and capital good!

Absolutely mesmerizing story which goes to greater heights with Juliet Stevenson's narration - brilliant interpretation of Fellowes' sweeping story.
