I have read so much about this era, but this book was quite informative! Very entertaining . . . artists as real people, not icons.

Deftly juggles several story lines (those listed in the subtitle and many more) to tell the tale of "Les Annees Folles"--Paris between the wars--when an extraordinary conversion of talent in art, architecture, literature, film, music, dance and fashion combined with increasingly dangerous politics to create a dazzling, heady mix.
