Amazing story! It really made me realize how fortunate I am. Loved the ending it was so perfect it almost made me cry! Highly recommend this story!

The terror of a forced swim across a crocodile infested river, the horror of seeing a family member shot, feeling forgotten in a refugee camp, drinking water that may sicken you, walking across a country barefoot with nothing – a sampling of what you’ll discover in this grab-you-by-the-gut true story.

This is the dual narrative of both Nya who lives in modern Sudan, and Salva who is from the past. Both struggling to survive in a world rigged against them, the two stories clash and really makes the reader feel as if they have been sucked into the story.

A Long Walk to Water is a book that would touch anybody's heart. The vocabulary and difficulty level about 5th grade, but the story is one for all ages.

A good read-aloud book for intermediate students, well written, good material for discussion, and short enough that it won't take half the year to complete.

Two stories one book. How interesting! And both of those stories are true.
