Favorite movie quote - "Oh, shit, not again!!"

In spite of some mighty impressive, super-gory, rapid-fire disaster scenes (with lots of splattered blood & guts & mangled bodies thrown everywhere), Final Destination 3 (FD3, for short) really wasn't much of a horror-movie roller-coaster ride since, right from the start, the viewer (unless they're an idiot) knew exactly what was gonna happen every single step of the way.

Believe me, there was not even the tiniest inkling of a surprise in this utterly tired and shamelessly rehashed tale of freak accidents and fate's intervention.

In fact, some of the "freak" accidents got to be so over-the-top and preposterously ridiculous that this viewer (who was far from being terrified) couldn't help but laugh out loud at the utter absurdity of it all. (I mean, give me a break, already!)

Besides that - FD3 also had a terrible knack of gleefully exploiting every despicable & stereotypical behaviourism and character trait in the book of those precious, little darlings, better known as today's self-absorbed, snot-nosed, grate-on-your-nerves teenagers. (Oops! Sorry, kids!)

*Special Note* - Set in the American town of McKinley, Pennsylvania, a number of FD3's scenes were actually shot at Vancouver's PNE, as well as at UBC.

While buying "Final Destination" 2 i also got this one for my collection. My friend laughed at me saying "you'll buy anything because of sound." She's half right. But, she watched it with me and of course began talking back to the screen. Trying to warn the characters about the doom they will face. No suck luck!!! I did like the sound of the roller coaster audio effects on my HOMETHEATER!!!! My surround speakers was filled with very good sounds from the rollercoaster traveling on it's death course. I may not watch this movie multiple times or like the story, but it's a fun movie that has good sound. I'm giving this thrill seeking roller coaster riding movie 3 stars. Good sound, the usual story, wasn't feeling the characters, but it's fun. Spare Ribs, mashed potatoes, corn, and STAX's potato chips with coke.
