Armed with new weapons inspired by the time-displaced Americans of Grantville, the Turks--led by the young, dynamic, and ruthless Murad IV--are determined to do what they were unable to do in the universe the Americans came from: capture Vienna. And this time they won't have to face massive reinforcements from Austria's allies, because the only army Emperor Gustav Adolf can send to Austria is under the command of Mike Stearns, and it's already engaged in a desperate struggle for Bavaria. Or so they think. -- adapted from book jacket.

I love this series. and it was nice that the main story came back to Grantville at least for a little bit, and revolved mostly around Mike and Rebecca. Looks like the direct sequel to this book isn't even on the drawing board yet.

Best Steampunk book never written by Tom Clancy & Larry Bond.
Interesting description of Ottoman's modified war machine on steam tank & steam blimps.
Ditto Ottoman family line have less Turkish blood thanks to harem girls procured from the Balkans.
Reads like Red Storm Rising part one with Ottoman have the numbers & the strategic initiative to steamroll, but the triple alliance or CETO have the technological edge & tactical flexibility.
Book cover spot on & maps very helpful.
It would be interesting what belligerent Spain, France, England, Poland-Lithuania & Russia will do in next book.
