Not quite as good as season one, but still good and worth continuing with to wrap up the story. Yet another historical drama I got invested in only to have it canceled after 2 seasons.

Occasionally soap opera-ish moments detract from what is otherwise a good depiction of life in a Civil War hospital, set in an Alexandria that is occupied by Union troops. The authors use a proud, aristocratic Southern family to tell the story from the other side--and their involvement in the underground that fights back. The story of freed and enslaved blacks is also mostly well-done.

Season 1 was better than average but season 2 was a big let-down. Hope season 3 redeems the series. Otherwise, we'll move on to something better.
