Not as horrible as people make it out to be. Jennifer Connelly's eyes should have been listed in the credits as a separate character since so many camera shots were focused just on them and not necessary her facial expressions. It was kinda funny. The eye scenes, not the movie.

A new story line for Hulk? Well it was nice to have a change. The chi is a little videogame-ish. 3 year old grandson loved it.

Don’t waste your time. Horrible acting, drawn out story line and sub par visual effects.

Directed by Ang Lee - 2003's "Hulk" (with its over-long 2.2-hour running time) was a $137 million production. And, yes, at that price - I'm certainly not about to make any complaints against its impressive CG visual effects. (Nope. No complaints there)... (*Watch movie-trailer*)

But - The 2 things that really irked me off about this particular "Jolly Green Giant" was this...

(1) - In this mutated being's state of absolute blind-rage - He would (automatically) always calm right down (incomprehensibly) at the mere sight of Betty Ross - (Like - WTF!?)

(2) - Even though the more angry Hulk got - The bigger he grew - He never, ever once displayed even the tiniest inkling of any sexual desire, at all.... (Double-WTF!?)

Like - C'mon - Let's get real here, folks!! (All joking aside) - When you think about it - Hulk must've had one helluva humungous, raging, green boner to flaunt. He really must've... (Enough said)

This movie splits viewers it take it or leave it. It has one of the best cinematographic experiences in any superhero movie. But, nobody flying in every direction now days style... Evey character HAS motivation, history, road to himself and connected to each other. It not the best, but it good and different. I glad it exists and watching it after 15 years ... dam it looks better than it was. Because i started to appreciate different aspects of the movie now. In this one Hulk is Bruce and Bruce is Hulk.

This was perfect... perhaps to cerebral for some but definitely true to HULK comics.

For all those of us who believed that Ang Lee could "do no wrong", could master any genre, any culture...with sensitivity and breathtaking aesthetic values, we should be thankful for this stiff. Boy, is this BAD. Stinko. All might have been forgiven (even the awful special effects) if he wasn't so INSISTENT that what the comic book genre needed was scrupulously filled-in back story and realistic motivation for the characters. So instead of cartoon-like motives and realistic effects, we get exactly the opposite. And GUESS WHAT? It don't work. But if Lee had had an unbroken string of triumphs, perhaps his previous and subsequent work wouldn't feel quite so miraculous. He can't do it all. (And that's just fine),

Hulk Smash lots of things, and sometimes that's enough. If you don't need plot, acting, or anything.

Pretty god movie but, he definitely does not act like a hero.

While the movie itself is fun to watch, the sound mixing on the DVD is horrible. We had to turn the sound up as high as it would go and still had a hard time hearing the movie.

David Banner is a genetics researcher who has figured out how to mutate human DNA so that the body can heal quickly from an injury or wound. He wants to use his research to create supersoldiers for the U.S. Army, but is denied permission to do it, so he experiments on himself. Once his wife gives birth to their son Bruce, David realizes his mutant DNA has been passed on and attempts to find a cure for his son's condition. In 1973, the government, represented by a then-Lieutenant Colonel "Thunderbolt" Ross, shuts down his research after learning of his dangerous experiments. David, in a fit of rage, causes a massive explosion of the facilities' gamma reactor, and attempts to kill his young son, accidentally killing his wife when she interferes. Banner is then put into a mental hospital, while 4-year-old Bruce is sent into foster care and adopted, suppressing the memories of his biological parents, believing them both to be deceased. The events surrounding his mother's death leave Bruce unable to recall the details of his early childhood. He remembers his childhood in dreams, but never retains these memories after waking.
