A sequel worthy of its predecessor. Continues and expands the ongoing story, increasing the stakes and costs. Elaborate and gripping. Top notch.

I almost never get to say this: This book is even BETTER than the first book in this series! (FYI: the first one was crazy good.) You delve deeper into the fantastical complexities of this world, while finding out these characters can still surprise you. The excellent writing makes an intricate story completely effortless for the readers to devour, and leaves us hungry for more.

I don't think I can praise this book and this author enough. I adore this series, it has beautiful writing, well-developed characters that grow and change over the course of the adventure, it is heart-wrenching and brutal yet soft and gentle in the necessary moments. It lets you breathe while never letting you put it down. I can't wait for the next one.
