"Naruto was a young shinobi with an incorrigible knack for mischief. He achieved his dream to become the greatest ninja in his village, and now his face sits atop the Hokage monument. But this is not his story... A new generation of ninja are ready to take the stage, led by Naruto's own son, Boruto! Years have passed since Naruto and Sasuke teamed up to defeat Kaguya, the progenitor of chakra and the greatest threat the ninja world has ever faced. Times are now peaceful and the new generation of shinobi has not experienced the same hardships as its parents. Perhaps that is why Boruto would rather play video games than train. However, one passion does burn deep in this ninja boy's heart, and that is the desire to defeat his father!"--Amazon.com.

Love it. Just wish the next volume came out faster

Fans of the original Naruto and Naruto Shippuden will enjoy this. Naruto has cemented himself as the 7th Hokage and his son Boruto is a part of a 3-person cell entering the new Chunin exams. It is more of the same, but seeing the story unfold in a very similar fashion to the beginning of Naruto Vol 1 is pretty neat. It is also fun to see which kid belongs to which set of parents. We also get to see the struggle Boruto has with his dad never being around due to his status and Naruto understanding this but not knowing what to do. It's a different dynamic for the series. I'm looking forward to see how everything progresses.

My biggest criticism for this volume is that there is a flashback sequence that you aren't ready for and don't realize it IS a flashback until a few pages in, when you think, "wait, where are we?" I had to go back and reread it. Admittedly, I'm easily confused, though.
