This show, for me, was at first something playing in the background while binge-programming my computer all night in the 90s. Meanwhile, I was indoctrinated into the forms and styles of anime without really becoming a fan of the show.

It wasn't until I fell into true fandom that the true message of this show for me; it's friendship, teamwork, trust and love, and the fight against misuse of those ideas and feelings that is most important.

Fans of Inuyasha, or Tsukasa or other Clamp and Bee Train productions might enjoy this, and vice versa.

P.S. There's a bit of an Electra subtext to the whole story arc, and the English version sanitizes a relationship's bromance into a regular romance, but those are harmless, in my opinion, because the character designs are ambiguous.
