Perfectly wasted time. The movie starts and then continues for 30 minutes or so with painful and deeply illogical mythological mumbo-jumbo. I was searching for some illuminating metaphors, but... nothing!!!

The clearly uttered (in the last few minutes of the movie ) conclusion of the movie is that love will save the world. Kind of 'make love, not war' of the 60's , except that in this movie we have the god Ares to blame for everything bad. Once Ares is annihilated, all people turn to being nice and they start hugging each other???

Wonder what the fuss was about.
It's a decent enough film but not as terrifically wonderful as some claim.
Special effects these days are as wondrous as the amount of money you spend on them.
So the other important things are story, characters, dialogue and the drama/humour found therein, all acceptable here.
The main problem in all super hero movies, including this one, is the calibre of the villains.
Throw in a truly vile bad guy/gal you can loath and fear (rather than laugh at) and you've got it made.

Finally a recent and decent film depicting a DC character! I really liked this film, that allowed for a backstory of Diana, aka, Wonder Women (played impressively by Gal Gadot), being an independent, strong and sympathetic creation. I was apprehensive about the possible Stars and Stripes flag waving potential, but found this to be a rather empathetic and sincere search for the truth of human's impurities. Also impressive was the storyline as Diana went looking to end the corruption of people, believing it to be solely responsible by Aries, the God of War.
The second DVD, of Special Features, did seem rather long, but did provide details and interviews by the director, writers and some of the actors of what they thought of the direction and portrayal of the Wonder Women character.

Hhmm I'm just not really into "hero" type movies. But so many said it was good. To me it was a bit boring. I dozed off a couple times. If you're not really into these kind of movies. You might not like it. I didn't really get into it.

Wonder woman et les amazones, dans ce film, peuvent encourager les filles à aller au bout d'elles-mêmes.

The DCEU that started with Man of Steel gets it right with this telling of Wonder Woman's origins and coming into the world with the First World War. The director and cast, particularly Gal Gadot in the lead, do exceptionally well.

A decent superhero film, and so far the best of the DCEU. But it was surprisingly slow. Still worth watching at least one.

Frightening or Intense Scenes: Dr. Poison is rather creepy, what with her burned, scarred mouth. Villains, death of innocents, and World War I theme.
