"A hostile relationship with her sister and a complicated past with her father's second wife have kept Robin estranged from her family for many years. But when her father's new family is attacked in their house, with her father, his wife, and young daughter in critical condition in the hospital, she returns home to await their fate and hopefully mend fences. One of the best books I have read in a long time. I could not put it down. The attitude between the 2 sisters was a little much but that is family drama when you hate each other. Figured out the murder near the end of the book and it was a surprise! A must read!!

Good read for a subway or train ride. Figured the culprit out a little more than half way...not a bad book.

Sisters Melanie and Robin travel to Red Buff after learning their father Greg Davis, his wife Tara and daughter Cassidy have been shot...….was this an a home invasion?....this book didn't get me hooked but I wanted to see who the culprit was

didn't really like any of the characters in this book, and the end was very predictable

I've read all of Joy Fielding's books and this one was as good as I expect from her. I enjoyed every minute of it and was not too surprised at the ending.

A good read! This book tell the story of a family resents others, tell lies, cheat, and have issue with the stepmother and there Dad and children with issues. Then a call comes in and the father, stepmother and her daughter have all been shot in what was thought to be a home invasion robbery. The real truth comes when the puzzles pieces fit together. Really enjoyed this book, it was a good change from what I normally read.

Good read, nothing spectacular. I was surprised by the twist however.
