"While viewing the harbor's Gaslights and Galleons Parade from the widow's walk of Timothy Neville's Charleston mansion, local banker Carson Lanier seemingly tumbles over a narrow railing, then plunges three stories to his death. But a tragic accident becomes something much more sinister when it's discovered that the victim was first shot with a bolt from a crossbow. At the request of the mansion owner, Theodosia investigates the tragedy and is soon neck deep in suspects. An almost ex-wife, a coworker, a real estate partner-- all had motives for killing the luckless banker, but one resorted to murder to settle accounts"-- Provided by publisher.

Theo Browning returns with her cast of characters to another edition of the Indigo Tea Shop Mysteries and it is a joy to visit with them again. Ms. Childs has returned to her basic formula of a strong determined business owner turned sleuth, her faithful Man Friday Drayton and accompanying cast of regulars. Nice to see Aunt Libby return to the stories. She has been absent for a while. Another murder involving high society in Charleston, the Heritage Society and lots of red herrings. It's not a hard mystery to unravel but you feel like you are carried along with the characters on their gentle route of discovery. Always looking forward to the next one
