I was a little disappointed in the story, life is often disappointing. I do think it took a great deal of courage for Mr. Michaels, to get up there and show the world his faith, especially what the industry is like. I also think it really good, he shared about overcoming his pill addiction, in the opiate crisis, the world is facing today. This was a genuine act of strength with or without God. Many people wish to be delivered from their problems and it does not happen. I don't want to be negative about my being disappointed, because I just stated somethings positive. I'm not to judge anyone. Hopefully, Mr. Michaels, has the impact he's hoping for on all he wants. I do believe he wrote the book to help people by sharing his story, and not just the money. God and mammon.......lukewarm, hot, or cold.........Life is tough!

I'm glad Shawn decided to write this book. It's great that he wanted to talk about his faith in God in this one. His first book was written under WWE, which unfortunately they wouldn't allow him to talk about his faith in Christ. Heartbreak & triumph was him talking about his past. This one he talks about his past, but he is more focused on his present. It's kinda like a sequel. And it's not marked by the WWE, so fortunately he's able to talk freely about God. The book is not overly preached. (Which I wouldn't mind one bit if it was.) Shawn had been through so much. Drinking, and drugs. He is now 100% better than he was in the 90's. God only knows where he would be at right now if he would've kept them habits up. All that he went through is history, old news. It's all about the right now. He is proof that there is a God, and he is still performing miracles.

@Blaisman And what's wrong with him talking about our savior? I would think you know he's a born again believer. So what makes you think that he wasn't going to give all the thanks to the man that saved him? Shawn told us how the book was going to be laid out before it was even released. It's very little quotes in there. I feel it's not enough. Well It's a good thing I don't believe in luck then. This book is great. And FYI why You so upset about someone you pretend don't exist? It shouldn't bother you. If you don't believe.

God heals everyone who believes. The ones that don't get delivered are the ones that don't want to get delivered. They give up on God. Mostly because they say "God takes too long." God do things on his time and he always on time. He don't do things on your time. Learn to wait. No one can get through though times by themselves. The ones that try are the ones that never get over addiction and ends up dying, or commits suicide. No one in this world can't get through addition, hard times, or any other negative things they've went through by themselves. Don't congratulate yourself because you got through your addiction and or other negative moments. Because YOU didn't do anything. God did. If you did anything. You'll still be in a gutter somewhere, or dead. So that BS about God doesn't deliver everyone that's going through something is a bunch of horse crap, and you know it.

The Devil messes with people that has faith in God. There's no reason for him to mess with the unbelievers. He already has them where he wants them. People who has faith in God always have Temptation in their lives. He wants them to fold up under pressure and go back to their old lifestyles. Most do, and that's another reason why some people don't get delivered. God can't deliver you if you're ignoring him, and hanging out with your Demons. God works through other people. Church, addiction hot lines, and so on. People give up and then blames God. Blame yourself. Blame the Devil. Blame yourself for walking with the Devil. Judge righteously. Judge based off of what you know, and not what you see. Walk by faith, not by sight. Keep your faith in God, and watch him work.

This book is disappointingly short and undetailed but maybe that's for the best. Good luck not finding a reference to God or Christianity on every single page

"I've lived under my freedom, and I've lived under God's freedom, and there is no comparison. My freedom could have cost me my life. It probably should have. I very easily could have been one of those wrestlers who overdosed in a lonely hotel room." ~Shawn Michaels~

" I have two bad knees, and a shoulder that need to be replaced. I need a heating pad to loosen up my back in the mornings. My physical pains go well beyond "discomfort," but I don't complain about any of that, except to Rebecca. I joke that she sign up for this, so she has to listen to me!" ~Shawn Michaels~

"I had drunk a lot, done drugs, and popped pills for two reasons: because of boredom, and because I was empty, and lonely. My wife used to say that idle hands are the devil's workshop, and that was true with me, because a lot of the destructive things I did were just a way to kill time." ~Shawn Michaels~

"When I became a Christian, I confessed of my sins and God forgave me of all of them. I then entered into a relationship with Him, and my life changed completely. That did not mean that I became sin-free. God loves me. The reason is, simply, because He chooses to. It's not because I have done anything to earn His love. There's is nothing any of us can do to earn God's love. He gives it to us." ~Shawn Michaels~
