I love this series. My only real complaint is that so little progress is made with the story with each installment. I'm always left wanting more, and not in a good way!
I continue to read this series by Brian K Vaughan, even though I'm not really interested in it. What started as a really promising story just continues to meander and split into too many subplots and characters. Worse, their only consistent storytelling is to introduce new characters in each arc, only to kill them off. The more I read of this series, the more I'm convinced Vaughan doesn't have any idea where he's going with it. Instead, each volume feels like he's busy coming up with shock moments, or cool twists, but no cohesive story. Each volume I pick up, I finish by saying to myself "maybe the next one will be better."
Much like Saga, you never quite know where this series is going, but more answers are revealed (along with many more questions). I cannot wait for further volumes to see where the girls go next.
This series is getting better and better. This is my favorite volume yet. It has all the fun and weirdness of the previous installments but we are finally getting some answers about what is going on and I'm excited to see more of this adventure unfold.
