My scale is 1-5. 1 being poor/low and 5 being great/high.

Age Group: Adult

Cliché? ★☆☆☆☆
Not at all. Each book in this series is a new heart-pounding adventure I have not read in any other books. I love Nalini’s writing style and will always continue to read her amazing books.

Mythology/Creatures: Archangels, angels, vampires, and mundanes.

Romance: ★★★★★
The romance is beautifully crafted throughout the pages. It does not take away from the main storyline, but compliments it lovely. If you are looking for a very steamy book then this is not it. Though if you are looking for a good suspense building adventure that has a tale of love in it then you came to the right book.

Mystery: ★★★☆☆
I feel like this book series isn’t too mysterious. It is more suspenseful in my opinion.

Angst:★★★☆☆ (2.5)
Not a lot, but towards the end I could feel it a bit more since it was a huge shift and cliff-hanger before the next book (which has yet to be published).

Suspense: ★★★★☆
I felt that this book is suspenseful because so a much is happening. It does stop at a cliff-hanger of the sorts. It leaves you with questions you want answered, but have to wait until the next book.

Character Development: ★★★★★
I love each and every one of the characters that Nalini skillfully crafts throughout the books. She doesn’t overwhelm with introducing too many at a time, but smoothly adds them in at the right moments to build up the story.

Continue? ★★★★★
Yup, just waiting for the next book in the series to be published.

The last time I have felt so intensely about an ending of a book is when I was reading the Pendragon series. I hate that I have to wait for the next installment, but at the same time this book was so well written that I can only be excited and happy to count down the days.

Often, many readers hate cliffhangers, but this one was so well crafted it is only going to lead up to an amazingly built plot.
