This was my first April Henry book and I will definitely be reading more of her work. Adele's best friend, Tory, is murdered after a huge party at Tory's house. Adele finds Tory's body while walking through a local park. Problem is that Adele sees Tory sitting on top of her body. Adele, like her mother and grandmother, has necromantic abilities that allow them to see and talk to the dead. Tory wants Adele to figure out who did this to her. I liked the mystery and how Adele interacts with Charlie. I would have given the book five stars if the ending would have had more closure. I feel like the ending left me hanging. Overall, a good book for those that like paranormal tendencies in their reading.
