Not what expected, very well done. Commentary says one wrote songs and concerts, then friend inspired to make movie. Patrick Stewart voice. Both actors on blue screen then animated environment.

A very interesting visual presentation. Based on the Hans Christian Andersen fairy tale of friendship, love and loyalty, this film began as a concert piece presenting several songs that tell the story. Using computer graphics to accompany the singers and musicians, it was a natural progression to create a film using the same tools. The result is a stunning combination of live action performances in a computer generated world to present a mystical "fairy tale" atmosphere. Enjoyable.
