It starts off as a dark and stormy night on Plum Street when Sam waits for something before he goes to sleep. Is it a storybook? To be tucked in with his toy friends? Or some milk in a glass? No, Sam is still waiting. Mrs. Bear just can?t figure it out! What is Sam waiting for, anyway? She goes through the list, and comes up with the best solution. The simple words and softly illustrated pictures belie their beauty in bringing about a warm and innocent story of going to bed.
