At first glance the authors are seemingly content to take it easy with this book and rely heavily on the Pollan name. But if you page through the entire book, there are some unique recipes worth trying. They rely very heavily on shaved/finely grated veggies, but hey, that is a unique way to change up the texture and cut down on cooking times. Surprisingly not a ton of pictures in this book. Worth a check-out but don't expect the miraculous.
