Just finished watching this movie!
I have to say that I really loved and enjoyed it with all of my heart. Not only was it about the real life choices you have to make in life, but if you just think and take the time to put yourself in someone else's shoes instead of thinking about yourself, you can really accomplish more than you think and in the end make a long-time friend.

Many great laughs and sad scenes at the same time. Great Ending!

Yes, some cliches are played out heavily in this film. No, it does not equal the French original from 2011. But still, very watchable with some exceptional scenes that remind us that in the end, love and friendship and connections (with ourselves, with other people, and with the world on the broadest scale) are still necessary, regardless of money, power, and technology. Cranston is brilliant (as always), Hart is a pleasant surprise in a dramatic role, and Kidman is wonderfully understated (though left far too underdeveloped as a character).

A remake of the 2011 French Film "Les Intouchables" watch the original first, then this Hollywood version. The real story was between two "white" men, I find it odd that it becomes a poor black man, rich white man, thing when produced on film.

This film proves that Kevin Hart can be a funny man without wild gesticulations while spewing out 4-letter words. Cranston gives another great performance, this time as a self-loathing quadriplegic. An entertaining Hollywood version of a pair of unusual buddies from NYC, inspired by the true story of Philippe Pozzo di Borgo and his French-Algerian caregiver Abdel Sellou in the 2011 comedy drama "The intouchables" from Paris. Other remakes are, so far:
Inseparables - 2016, Spanish from Buenos Aires.
Oopiri 2016 - Indian from Chennai, Hyderabad, Paris, Lyon, Oingt, Grignan and Belgrade.

Another excellent drama about friendship between caretaker and wealthy quadriplegic is Me Before You - 2016, English from Pembroke Castle, Pembrokeshire, Wales.

This flick blew me away. It was really funny and heart warming. Kevin Hart is a great little actor.

Check this one out. You will love it:)

Bryan Cranston may be the best actor in the world today. He is completely underrated. Every other actor in the movie hold their own. But the plot is so predictable! Every cliche in the book. 3 solid stars.

Doesn't have the same appeal like the French movie, but it's not so bad at all. Watch both if you can, because French version deserves some credits too.

Many good quotes in IMDb already, thanks to the contributors. A couple of the gems are:

Funny:
You can have any girl you want. What about this lady with all the Botox? You're perfect for each other. You can't move your body, she can't move her face.

Reality:
It's my legs. It's the nerves. It's called neurogenic pain. It's like being on fire.
-They don't give you nothing for that?
Different medications. It helps a bit. Not enough.
- Hurt enough to make you wanna off yourself?
No. But losing my wife does.
