Vivian Dahl is a wedding singer pushing 30 and her luck trying to make her big break. She has never had a safety net and has had to look out for herself.

After her father left and vivians mom remarried viv just got placed on the back burner while her new little sister got all the attention. also she is starting to hate the one thing she is really good at singing.

Also there has been some dude showing up to her gigs and a few days later she gets kidnaped/ rescued by Jason, who has to break the news to her that her dad is a werewolf and she is in danger because of it.

Will Vivian learn to let others in and to trust folks or will instinct take over and make her run at the first sign of danger?

This is a well written book about redemption,PTSD, and making sacrifices to get what you need to make the life you want.

The only thing and it is small is when Harlow writes PR departments are not ready for a white girl who sings R&B.HAHAHAHHAHAHAHAH she a lie. has she never heard of the term "blue eyed soul"? she aint never heard of adele, amy winehouse justin timber lake, iggy azealia, robin thicke .... elvis. She used to be a DJ for goodness sake. How did she miss the memo that white folks who sing R&B are never out of style.

other than that i like the story line of this book, lots of action and redemption.

This is a good story and it could have been told just as well without all the "f-bombs" and drug use. Not for everyone. I like this author and the Midnight Magic series but I'm not sure I'll continue on with it.
