I got spoiled on a major plot point like two chapters in and never fully recovered from it. I didn't vibe with this book as much I did the predecessor. I was glad that there wasn't as much Dalinar because honestly he was super boring in Way of Kings. I kind of felt though like this book just treaded water with the main part of the narrative. For a book that was over 1300 pages the story overall hasn't really changed much from the previous books but we got a huge info dump of character development. Which don't get me wrong I don't dislike character development I just felt like this should have been more in the previous book and it just felt like an onslaughter of tiny details that probably are important in later novels but just seem like a ton of tiny details at the moment. Also Sanderson has yet to write a romance that hasn't felt incredibly forced. Like if you can't write romance just don't. Stale relationships don't help the book. For the most part it just adds to this already incredibly long book of stuff kind of not really happening. It wasn't the worst but I think for the most part Sanderson is overhyped for what he is.
