Great writing and excellent research and insights into the Catholic faith, but I find a lot of modern fiction writers, cowards. In this book, one character finds historical evidence that would shake the Catholic world. Of course, the evidence gets re-buried and the real question never gets asked. What if this evidence did reach the world. What if the fanatics did have to face some historical fact that might rock their present, untrue faith, that happens to manipulate and ultimately destroy millions if not billions of lives, as I've seen in my own family. Wouldn't that be a good thing? The book is ultimately predictable and left me frustrated. However, if you want to review, or learn the tangents of historical religion, especially the Catholic Church, it's a fantastic read.
