The Nomination

a Novel of Suspense

This is the last Tapply. And a new genre to booth. His career was made with the Brady Coyne series. More recently, he tried, with so so results, to renew himself with the Stoney Calhoun series. But with this last book I think he hit gold. The prose is as smooth is the "Coyne" novels, spiced up a notch so not to fall into the same "spirit" has the well known attorney. The global sense of the book is just a real tour de force. The story is so well crafted that it can really be called a "page turner". This book is a stunner. And I am chagrined that it will be his last. This book would have been the start of a new avenue for Tapply. A new series as great as Coyne. But this is not to be. We lost a great great writer here. We'll miss him dearly.
