This book is too long. Kenyon has spent a really long time taking Acheron's side, making his brother seem like a shit. Therefore, she choose to reveal his story in one giant tome, instead of having it revealed piece by piece and I think it loses something by throwing it down all at once. You don't really get a chance to rebuild the relationship between the brothers. It's artificial. And pushes you to accept very suddenly that Kenyon loves this character, wants to redeem him and make him more understandable. Be aware, there are some rather graphic scenes of abuse in this book.
