Funny story about this book. It’s about a girl who writes fan-fiction – The author, Rainbow Rowell, published said fanfiction from this book. I read the fanfic first without realizing that they were connected in some way. I wish I would have read this first, but I got ‘Carry On’ for review and had to finish it quickly. Either way, both books earned 5 stars from me. I’ll probably re-read ‘Carry On’ now, knowing what I do about it’s ‘author’. Fangirl is one of those books I’ve started multiple times but put down after the first chapter. I regret that now. If I would have pushed on just a bit further I would have discovered how much I loved this book. I mean, I REALLY loved this book. Cather and I have so much in common. While reading this, I wished she were real because we would be great friends. While I loved her, it was hard to pick a favorite character as well. I adored them all. It really was like losing a friend when the story was over. If I could, I would beg Rainbow Rowell to give me more Cather. Just read this book. That’s my review. I laughed, I cried, and I am sad it’s over.
