3 years after they did the score for Tron: Legacy, the duo's latest album takes a different turn from electronic music by adding disco-funk to tribute the 1970s to fans that are into their new songs, with their cachy hit single "Get Lucky" included. This is Daft Punk's fourth studio album (excluding the Tron: Legacy soundtrack), after being on hiatus for 8 years following the release of "Human After All". Unlike their previous albums, Daft Punk mostly focused on disco music more than electronic music, which caused some fans to be disappointed on the sampling they try to hide, much like their previous songs, most of them were sampled. Also, Random Access Memories outnumbered all the music charts in the world, skyrocketing their previous albums as the number one album in 20 countries, making it a commercial success. To be honest, Daft Punk did a successful job to their job, even though it had mixed reviews, most of them were positive, making it the album of 2013, and possibly 2014, thanks to "Get Lucky!'. I recommend that this album will make you feel like you wanna dance whenever your bored, this album is for you, especially if you listen to “Lose Yourself to Dance” featuring Pharrell Williams, who also did the vocals “Get Lucky”, because if you listen carefully, I will feel like he’s singing like Michael Jackson, or in other words, the Michael Jackson of the 70s, but he still the king of pop. Therefore, Daft Punk’s Random Access Memories is the best electronic album in the world, and even though they didn’t abandoned electronic music, they made the best combination of Electronic-Disco music! Hopefully, Daft Punk will add new elements to their music whenever their new album is out, which is what makes them special!
