Okay, I don't even care that this is another "special girl starts a revolution and revolt against the current oppressive government" dystopian YA, this book was amazing! The concept of identity, loyalty, friendship, family, pain, romance, purpose...it covered all of that. Not the mention the writing was delicious! Some many sentences and descriptions I wanted to reread, I HAD to reread. The character development, too, was strong and fearless. She put her characters through the ringer and yet stayed true to their actions and to the purpose of the story. It was heartbreaking but truthful and I appreciated that greatly. I cried like three times at the end and that says something. Better than the first one, by far. But a great duology nonetheless.
