Absolutely amazing, beautifully filmed true story about the first female Eagle Hunter/Huntress in this Kazakh clan. Very uplifting story about this young woman who persisted/insisted she could handle the large predatory birds the clans use to hunt foxes. It's also the story of a loving father, an Eagle Hunter himself, who patiently taught and supported his daughter throughout, even as many of the other family/clan (male) leaders did not. I agree that it is rated G (everyone) but this is a group that hunts (and kills) animals, both wild and domestic. So there are scenes where this kind of activity is actually happening. It's not really all that graphic but if that sort of thing bothers you or if you believe it may disturb small/young children you may want to watch it first before sharing it with them. It should serve as an inspiration for all children though, and especially to girls/young women wanting to do break through the glass ceilings in their own lives. I also recommend watching the short featurette Capturing The Eagle Huntress AFTER watching the film as it gives more background on the (pretty amazingly coincidental) series of events that led to and helped along with the filming of the documentary.
