Wil and Bridge have known and grown up together since the fourth grade. They went from being kids playing on the beach to the perfect couple to nothing. After a drunken mistake made by Bridge, they never talk to one other again until a horrible accident happens to Wil’s family and Wil needs Bridge more then ever. Together they struggle to heal old wounds. But a lot can happen in a year, so will they be able to move past those things and have the future they always wanted? This book was really amazing because it had the perfect mix of happy and sad times. There was a huge twist near the end that I didn't see coming but I think really made the book. From their childhood to just some time before, they were the closest anyone had known. But life is not ever as smooth as it seems on the surface, and the two grow apart after a disastrous mistake. When a sudden incident affects one, they bond over it and truly realize how far they've grown apart. With each secret threatening to bring them farther apart, hesitation and impulse play their roles in vital actions. Personally, I didn't like Bridge so much with her stubbornness and what she chose to do in multiple scenarios, but I suppose that can't be helped. - @Siri of the Teen Review Board of the Hamilton Public Library
