High-quality production of Queen Elizabeth's acension to the throne at the young age of 25. Does a very good job of showing her intimate relationships--including her husband's difficult adjustment to his role as consort, not independent Navy commander. I especially like the warm relationship between King George (unwillingly forced into his role by his brother's abdiction) and his daughters, and the poignant story of his death from lung cancer. This is enjoyable as escapist fare but also has a message about female leaders and the mixed price they pay.
