When I was young I trained horses and the techniques they used were not typical of real horse training. One summer when I was 19 I drove down to Madras Oregon and bought two wild horses off the indian reservation. They had not been handled by anyone yet and I kept them in a stall and worked them in a small corral. Took only 6 weeks to have them ready to sell as nice gentle horses. Took lots of contact with them but they came around fairly easy. Most movies I see that have anything to do with wild mustangs show them to be be a lot nicer looking than they really are. This movie displayed behavior not displayed by horses nor were a lot of the sound effects realistic. I felt like the Doctor who was watching a medical show on television and saying to my self that behavior does not go on at any hospital I have been in. However the central theme that men working with horses can change their behavior is a good one and very possible. Horses are a nice animal to be around and most people who work with them are good people.
